Be the Difference, Be a UH Hospice Volunteer
Do you believe that life is a journey, healing is more than curing, and that hope can be found in all situations?
Volunteers are an essential part of the University Hospitals Hospice care team. Whether offering calm, friendly support to patients and families or working behind-the-scenes, volunteers can make a difference in the lives of patients and their loved ones.
For Deborah, volunteering with UH Hospice is an intimate and rewarding experience. It's about bringing peace, joy and hope to families who are going through some of the most difficult times of their lives.
UH Hospice volunteers are as diverse as the patients and families we serve. No special background is required, only a desire to help us provide the best possible experience for patients and families during one of the most important stages in life's journey. Our volunteer services coordinator will help you find the best assignment for your skills, interests and availability.
Volunteers are need to serve patients at our Seasons of Life Hospice inpatient unit in Parma as well to visit patients wherever they call home, private homes, nursing homes and assisted living residences.
Volunteer opportunities include:
- Clerical Support
- Friendly visits
- Caregiver relief
