Child Life Services Offers Practicum and Internship Opportunities for Students
University Hospitals Rainbow Babies & Children’s Hospital’s Child Life Student Program has two different opportunities: the practicum and the internship. Applications for both of our programs are accepted three times each calendar year: spring, summer and fall.
Our Family and Child Life Services Department is dedicated to the University Hospitals mission: To Heal. To Teach. To Discover. Our student program is committed to providing an enriching experience that will support students on their way to becoming certified child life specialists. Our student program is supported by a child life student committee made up of certified child life specialists and by the child life student program coordinator.
Each member of our multidisciplinary team is a part of the student experience at UH Rainbow Babies & Children’s Hospital. Students are mentored by certified child life specialists, and all supervisors meet the requirements set forth by the Association of Child Life Professionals (ACLP).
We follow the ACLP guidelines concerning application deadlines and offer dates. Please confirm these dates with the ACLP. No application will be accepted after the listed postmark date.
